The CDC updates its COVID recommendations for the holiday season

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently updated its COVID-19 safety recommendations for the upcoming holiday season. The center states that the safest way to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 is to get vaccinated and to help friends and family who are eligible to do the same.

Here are some of their suggestions to play it safe during your holiday celebrations:

  • Protect those not yet eligible for vaccination such as young children by getting yourself and other eligible people around them vaccinated.

  • Wear well-fitting masks over your nose and mouth if you are in public indoor settings if you are not fully vaccinated.
