EMERGENCY NOTICE: Vaccine Mandate update

Dear Premier Employee:

As you may already know, on November 4th the U.S. Dept. of Labor’s (DOL) Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has issued an EMERGENCY TEMPORARY STANDARD (ETS) with regards to COVID-19 vaccination requirements for all employers with more than 100 employees on their payroll. With more than 180 employees, Premier falls under this new mandate.

To be compliant with the new ETS, Premier is working to prepare our COVID Vaccination policy and will share the specifics of the policy once finalized. Please note that according to the new OSHA ETS if you are not fully vaccinated you may be subject to weekly testing and any associated expenses, be required to wear a face covering (mask) while on duty, and/or be removed/reassigned from your current placement.

The following are some key dates for those employees that are not fully vaccinated but wish to complete their vaccination series before testing requirements begin on January 4, 2022:

  • Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine: The primary vaccination series takes 1-day to complete. Employees who receive the Janssen vaccine therefore have to get their one Janssen does on or before January 4, 2022 to be exempt from testing requirements.

  • Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine: The primary vaccination series takes 21-days to complete. Employees receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech series therefore have to begin their primary vaccination series (1st dose) on or before December 14, 2021 and get the 2nd dose 21-days later.

  • Moderna COVID-19 vaccine: The primary vaccination series takes 28-days to complete. Employees receiving the Moderna series therefore have to begin their primary vaccination series (1st dose) on or before December 7, 2021 and get the 2nd dose 28-days later.

I strongly urge all employees to get vaccinated ASAP.

Sincerely,

Van K. Benton

President/CEO
