Premier Community Services (PCS) is seeking an IT Specialist to handle our day-to-day IT maintenance and support needs. Premier is a community-based residential support provider for individuals with developmental disabilities who need assistance with daily living skills and/or general support in living as independently as possible.
The IT Specialist works independently to provide technology supports to all members of our organization.
IT Specialist Duties:
- Supporting day-to-day operations of our computer network.
- Efficient operation of all IT systems.
- Installation of software/hardware for employees, and training education relating to such.
- Complete quality analysis of IT systems and develop proposal contrast/compare options, including recommendations.
- Initiate actions and communicate with Administration any unusual situations.
- Provides network and server administration and oversight, including monitoring security and backup protocols.
- Ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
- Resolving IT problems that may arise and/or obtaining outside resources that may be needed.
- Attend meetings to address and appropriately direct IT related issues.
- Lead IT projects as requested.
- Work with remote sites to ensure IT systems are connected and working appropriately.
- Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
- Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives.
- Provides technical support to users for voice and phone systems.
- Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, network components and office applications.
- Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user requirements.
- Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end users.
- Coordinates activities with network services and information system groups.
- Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice, email or in-person communications.
- Connects users to network and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
- Administers email and antivirus software.
- Coordinates with vendors for needed technology related services such as printer/copier maintenance.
- Engages in respectful, ongoing communication and problem solving with others.
- Acts as a positive and professional ambassador for the Agency both internally and in the greater community.
- Successfully engages, coordinates and motivates agency staff to achieve program or project goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience with: Server 2016, Microsoft Hyper-V Virtual Servers, Windows 10, Apple devices (iPads, iPhones), small office networking, Office 365 administration and MDM software.
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm with weekend/evening flexibility for agency needs.
Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour
